Harrison Beasant
Jewellery Designer and Goldsmith
Harrison Beasant is a bespoke jewellery designer and maker, based in Hatton Garden.
"I was first introduced to the jewellery trade during 6th form, where I was put into contact with one of the school’s alumni, Benjamin Hawkins, who had already established his own company. After spending a week with Benjamin and time over school holidays, I was encouraged to enrol in the foundation program offered by Hatton Garden’s Goldsmith Centre.
The course involved a variety of internships and exposure to a number of design competitions, in one of which I achieved first place! After completing the course, I was taken on by jeweller Vincent Seymour, who taught me the traditional methods of jewellery-making. After a year and a half, I accepted an offer to work for Queensmith, a London-based jeweller, where I learned more modern techniques of goldsmithing, largely employing the use of newer equipment.
Towards the end of 2020, after four years of experience and working in the trade, I took the opportunity to launch my own brand. Alongside my making jewellery, I take pride in my client paintings for Benjamin Hawkins amongst other companies. I love my job and the trade with which I am associated. I aim to further push my skills and develop my own design style in future projects and commissions."
