Ben Timi Nuga, Founder & Editor
Hi! I'm Ben, a final year Modern Languages student at the University of Warwick. I founded J3TZINE in 2021 as a platform for talented people across all disciplines to be showcased in a common space. My own journey as an artist took off in the summer of 2020, in the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic. I quickly learned how difficult it can be to gain exposure as an independent creator, and after noticing that there were many gifted people in the same predicament, I was inspired to make this publication to try and work to change that. As of December 2020, I had no experience in graphic or web design, but nearly 5 months down the line, here we are!
'Going Viral in a Pandemic' was launched in April 2021 as the platform's first print magazine issue. The issue's title draws inspiration from those who, despite the difficulties presented by the pandemic and its numerous lockdowns, took the leap of faith and began their own creative journeys.
J3TZINE's first season consists of four bi-monthly issues, which can be ordered as a bundle from the web store!
